In the Community:
- In Portland Oregon, volunteered in an annual event to beautify the downtown core of the city for two consecutive years in 1998 and 1999.
- In Vancouver, spent one morning per week volunteering chiropractic services at a free clinic in the downtown east side from 2000-2001.
- Former secretary of the NewPort Village Merchant Association and helped organize local community/charity events in NewPort Village, most notably four consecutive years of the annual Festa Italiana, from 2003-2006, as well as volunteering at the 2007 and 2009 Festa Italiana.
- He is also dedicated to providing volunteer chiropractic services to the sporting community at major sporting events, both locally and abroad.
Personal Sports Experience:
- Dr. Barone grew up with a love of sport, playing community hockey and soccer for the New Westmentser Royals Hockey and Soccer clubs. His Midget AA New Westminster Royals hockey team earned a spot representing the Lower Mainland at the BC Winter Games in Nelson BC, in 1989.
- St. Thomas More Knights Varsity Football Team in 1988 and 1989. The Knights were BC AA Champions in 1988.
- In chiropractic college, soccer for the WSCC Impulse men's and co-ed soccer teams from 1997-2000 (fullback).
- Since 2004, recreational hockey in Burnaby.
- Australian Rules Football with the Burnaby Eagles AFC since the summer of 2008.
- His first half-marathon, the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon in May 2008 with a time of 2:46:26, coming 327/335 in his age group.
- June 2008 the Scotiabank Half Marathon with a time of 2:28:45, coming 204/212 in his age group.
