The Graston Technique®, originally developed by athletes, is changing the way patients view treatment of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries.

Graston Technique® is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables the break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The Technique utilizes specially designed massage instruments  to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.Graston Technique is used by Dr. Barone in conjunction with Active Release Techniques and chiropractic adjustments in the treatment of:
  • Rotator-cuff problems
  • tennis and golfer's elbows
  • peripheral neuropathy
  • sciatica
  • achilles tendinosis
  • plantar fascitis
  • postural neck, upper and mid back problems
  • low back pain

Each specific area requires between one and two minutes of treatment during each visit.  This techniqe may be performed on one or two regions during a regular ten minute session, or two to four regions during a double session (approximately 20 minutes).   Patients require and average of 7-15 treatments to reach maximum recovery.
